Timi Ellinas joined us as our strategic alliance coordinator in April. She now feels ready be let loose on one of her favourite subjects: the Mediterranean diet. She’s got a science background and she’s a Greek national, so you could say it had to happen! In this week’s feature, Timi’s focused especially on the Cretan variant of the diet, hailed by virtue of a considerable body of science as the one of the healthiest diets in the world. But, as you’ll discover, it’s not perfect – and there are ways of making it healthier still.
Among this week’s news, is a warning from the UK government’s chief food safety advisor about acrylamide formed by high temperature cooking of a range of common processed foods given to children. There’s never been a better reason to get back to home cooking and drop the processed foods!
Be well, naturally
