Health freedom at stake

Being of a certain age myself, but of a different gender, I feel lucky I don’t have to experience hot flushes and related symptoms of menopause. But what if women who want to relieve their symptoms are limited to using only conventional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) that delivers its own package of side effects, including increased risk of cancer? What if you lose the option of managing your child’s immunity by natural means and you are forced to vaccinate your children regardless?

These are the two issues we raise this week, one stimulated by the passage of the classification of menopause as a “serious medical condition” by the UK media industry self-regulator, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).  The other was triggered by the visit of Melissa (Smith), our outreach and communications officer, to Hainburg in Austria for a meeting of individuals and organisations concerned about mandatory vaccination of children.

Nelson Mandela and many others have shown us how freedom often needs to be fought for. As the state and corporatocracy attempt to increase their control over the masses, it’s time for those who value freedom of choice in healthcare to come together.
