Fighting for health and freedom

For those of us who’ve managed to get a few days of holiday with our families this northern hemisphere summer, as I have, please bear a thought for those who are struggling against all odds to fight for their survival or freedom. Or both.

Over the last month, I’ve had the privilege of working very closely with a family with a little girl fighting a high-risk cancer and a mother fighting a judicial system that’s trying to prevent her from giving the natural treatments she so desires for her daughter. It’s been both devastating and humbling to witness and provide support where we are able. Read more in our main feature this week.

This week we also continue last week’s theme brought to us through my interview with Dr Alison Grimston given a study that now confirms around a 3-fold risk for those women using synthetic HRT for treatment of menopausal symptoms. It’s vital that women are given informed choices, and judging by the available evidence (of all types), bioidentical hormones present greater benefits with many fewer, if any, side effects.
