But in an era in which the physical and material have been given such import, we are getting increasingly schizophrenic about certain non-physical things – especially energy. We love it when it does things for us that we need to maintain our materialistic world (read: wireless technologies) – yet we abhor it when it challenges the system we feel comfortable with (read: homeopathy).
As it happens, these are the very two themes we pick up this week in our top stories.
Please dig into our news items too. Here’s what we have: British cardiologist and low carb protagonist Dr Aseem Malhotra brings his campaign to the European Parliament; find out more about an initiative my eldest son is initiating to raise funds to help tackle avoidable ear disease and related deaths in Ethiopia; combat censorship on vaccine hesitancy in Australia; discover a US Court’s acknowledgment that the tragic loss of life of 18-year-old Christina Tarsell, was caused by the HPV vaccine, and; how gene editing technology in the form of CRISPR is bringing GMOs in through the backdoor, at least in the USA.
Finally – we’re just in the process of finalising our draft position paper on health system sustainability and are on course to get it out for consultation by the end the week.
In health, sustainably
