Coca-Cola busted!

The Coke bubble may have burst – finally! For over a century we’ve downed the brown fizzy liquid, initially because of its perceived or advertised health benefits. Now we’re beginning to realise it’s killing us. Coca-Cola, the company who pioneered the stuff, knows it too, but seems to be doing everything in its power to divert attention from the hazards of its own offerings. This is the theme of our feature story this week, in the wake of a major exposée by The Times newspaper.

Our second story looks at how the mainstream model of healthcare needs to be altered to deal with the assault from auto-immune, chronic and degenerative diseases. We showcase some of the views of one of the leading UK general practitioners committed to a ‘functional medicine’ and ‘personalised lifestyle medicine’ approach to general practice, namely Dr Rangan Chatterjee, who shared his ideas during our Nuhealth2 think tank discussions in London in March this year.

For those who might be interested in a panel debate hosted by our friends at Yes to Life at CAMExpo, the podcast of the event will be live at 21:00 GMT on Thursday 15th October.

Some of the weekly news items are nothing short of mind-blowing, including the prospects of a drug that might negate the need for exercise. Please share these stories widely.

In health, naturally
