On the eve of World Diabetes Day 2019, Rob Verkerk PhD takes you on a tour of our Food4Health guidelines.

This ‘plate’ is purposefully anti-inflammatory, low carb, moderate protein and high(er) fat. Along with the 10 key guidelines, it’s aimed at returning you to a state of metabolic flexibility and keeping you there. Being metabolically flexible is synonymous with health and the absence of disease.

As part of a wider nutrition and lifestyle protocol that addresses physical activity, sleep and stress management, it’s also an effective strategy for dealing with pre-diabetes (Metabolic Syndrome) and type 2 diabetes.
