Ivermectin is rapidly emerging as the ‘tall poppy’ of the coronavirus crisis. It’s become a victim of tall poppy syndrome – cut it down before people get to see what it’s capable of, in its full splendour, especially when given a little help from its friends, vitamin D, vitamin C and zinc. What have they got in common? They are all unpatented. Ivermectin is the dihydro- form (yes, it’s had 2 water molecules bound to it).

The poppies in our garden at the back of our office are currently undergoing a growth spurt, having exceeded the height of all the flowers, digitalis-armed foxgloves included. Only time will tell if this ivermectin-infused poppy is able to remain standing, but either way it felt like the right backdrop for my latest ‘walk and talk’ that points to the subterfuge against ivermectin.

The divide

Anyone who doesn’t toe the party line is now fair game for criticism for being divisive. But we can’t accept the logic behind this position. The rules of the game keep changing and ‘the other side’, for want of a better term, are the ones changing the rules.
