Amongst our offerings in this week’s edition of the ANH Heart Beat is a heartfelt tribute to the legend — Ronnie Cummins — veteran organic and health freedom campaigner and co-founder and international director of the US Organic Consumers Association (OCA). Having just seen Ronnie and his wife, Rose, at OCA’s experimental farm in Mexico on our visit last month, we were devastated to hear of Ronnie’s premature passing on Wednesday. Ronnie was a giant of a man, a grand master, with a roaring passion in his heart for people and the planet that he loved so much. He will be sorely missed.
From a farewell to a new framework. In our view, overhauling the entirety of medical ethics is the best chance we have of restoring distorted health systems. Read our lead feature to understand why, in preparation for the launch of part one (of 8) of ANH’s new Health and Ethics Framework. Medical ethics may go back some 4000 plus years, but this framework isn’t just for health professionals. Whether you’re aware of it or not, ethics, touches every aspect of our lives in civilised societies and holds great sway over many of our decisions and behaviours. It’s time we had more of a say as to how we, as people, want to be treated in a health setting.
Then we have more on Apeel, the coating to keep produce fresh for way longer than nature ever would (or should…); a key update on the Pandemic Treaty and Rob’s and my interview with the Dragon Slaying team on TNT radio. Of course, our carefully curated News Beat and calendar of dates for your diary too!
