Coming out of the fog

Our newsletter this week is devoted to the most complex organ in the human body – our brain. It’s involved in some way – from initiating to interpreting to communicating – in our every thought, word, action, memory, feeling and experience of the world. As anyone who has cared for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia will attest, without a healthy, functioning, brain, whilst our heart may continue to beat and keep us alive, we simply cease to be.

My presentation in Iguazu Falls last Saturday was entitled ‘Brain on fire’, about brain inflammation and what to do about it. As it’s just an overview, we’ve also included our recent back catalogue of articles, videos and podcasts on better brain health so you can delve deeper.

The covid era with it’s multiple insults has been responsible for dramatic increases in mental health disorders. The good news is that we can dial back the damage by taking the right kind of action for our brains. Given what’s happening on the world stage currently, including Boris Johnson’s resignation today, we’re going to need a calm, focused brain for the months to come.
