The three issues we tackle this week in our main stories all raise more questions than answers. First up: What’s actually happening in India – how could a virus strain that’s been ticking along for a few months suddenly trigger a surge of cases just as the vaccination and testing programme gathers pace?
Or in our second story – which links you to our fourth Speaking Naturally video interview – we explore with leading US paediatrician, Dr Michelle Perro, why so few kids these days experience robust health. Could it be related to the roll out of GMO crops and the now, almost ubiquitous, herbicide, glyphosate? You’ll hear some very frank views on this in my interview with Dr Perro.
In our third story we tackle the case of the fastest growing natural product category in recent years – CBD and other cannabinoids. Citizens in the UK and rest of Europe were riding the wave as they discovered a new product that would help them deal with stress, discomfort and pain. Then, in January 2019, the EU classified CBD as a ‘novel food’, with the European Commission categorising non-psychoactive CBD as a narcotic a few months later. Fortunately, a U-turn ensued. Despite that, find out why the UK may represent a potential safe harbour for CBD and other cannabinoids.
There’s lots of news too – covid-related and otherwise, including footage of the largest protest march London has seen since lockdowns began – in our weekly news roundup.
Happy reading, listening, watching and sharing. We can’t over-emphasise how important it is to share any article that you think is valuable, such is the censorship and throttling back we’re currently experiencing.
