Adult vaccines, plants and insects

Around midnight on Monday night, British Parliamentarians approved the EU Withdrawal Bill. There wasn’t a rebellion, but that doesn’t mean that Brexiteers are celebrating or that Remainers have given up. The reality is that uncertainty continues to be the only thing we can be certain of. Over the years, we’ve seen how opposing forces could distort European laws in their efforts to reach a compromise. When it comes to laws affecting businesses, the biggest losers are typically those representing the minor sectors, including natural health interests that compete directly with Big Food and Pharma. There’s a real possibility that the compromise that will emerge will deliver a repeat performance – that’s unless a clearer vision of the governmental party’s view can be better communicated.

In our stories this week, we explain how adults are becoming an ever bigger focus in national vaccination strategies. We also bring you a recording of a recent interview I had with prominent Ayurvedic and functional medicine doctor, Vijay Murthy. For those with the stomach for it, you can discover more about my views on veganism, vegetarianism and insect-eating.

In our weekly news snippets, you’ll find out about a shocking cover-up by the WHO over vaccine deaths in India, the controversial Unilever-Pukka Herbs buy-out, and a disturbing quality control check on supplements by the German authority, BfR.

Next week, I’ll be writing to you from Australia, after having attended and presented at the 2017 Lifestyle Medicine Australasia conference in Sydney.
