The European Court, herbs and spices

It might still be August, with a large swathe of Europeans on holiday, but the UK government chose last Monday to release a new policy document on how trade disputes should be arbitrated post-Brexit, without the direct intervention of the European Court of Justice. So in our lead story this week, we offer some views (not only our own) on how this might impact sales of natural products sold by UK companies in the EU, and vice versa, after Britain’s withdrawal in 2019.

Our second story is the third in our series highlighting the dietary diversity crisis, the first of which was published on 28 June 2017. We focus this week on herbs, spices and herbal teas, that can be a crucial additional delivery system for life-changing phytochemicals. There’s never been a better time to get the herb and spice back in your life!
